This report contains the results of the 2006 Student Outcomes Survey for students who undertook vocational education and training with adult and community education providers in Australia. The 2006 Student Outcomes Survey targeted students who completed a course with a Technical and Further Education (TAFE) institute, private provider, or an adult and community education provider in Australia in 2005. The survey is used to collect information about the general demographic characteristics of both graduates and module completers as well as their fields of education, employment outcomes, occupations and industries of employment, and satisfaction with and opinions of their training.

The results are reported in three sections: Summary of graduate/module completer outcomes; Graduates/module completers key findings; and Frequency counts. While the first two sections summarise the collected data, the Frequency counts section contains, for each question, the numbers (weighted and unweighted) and percentages for adult and community education providers. All results in this report refer to students from an adult and community education provider who responded to the survey, weighted to population benchmarks. These benchmarks were sourced from the national collection of vocational education and training statistics and survey responses. Therefore throughout this report the term 'graduates' or 'module completers' refers to survey respondents weighted to the respective population benchmarks.
